The Beginning
Digital Hut Africa was founded in September 2022 in Dar es Salaam with a simple but powerful conviction that most organisations in Tanzania were investing in technology without a clear strategy and ending up with solutions that didn't fit.
We started with DIY electronics kits e.g Arduinos, Sensors, Electric components for University students. Helping students by sourcing cheaper DIY electronics for their final year research / projects. We not only sold the electronics but we provided free consultation and education. That was just the beginning.
The Growth
By the end of 2023 December software had become our primary engine. We expanded into custom software development building a team of certified practitioners who deliver across every discipline under one roof. We started with websites to promote visibility and growth among SMEs and Enterprises this went parrallel with the Internet of Things (IoTs) DIY electronics.
The Transformation
By 2025, we had the skills to major onto custom software development and implementing our own Enterprise Resource Planning system which was in house built, to help businesses and people grow their business at scale with a more centralized system.
Where we are Now
Today DiHA serves 20+ clients across East Africa, from SMEs to large enterprises and government institutions. We are still guided by the same principle we started with. Listen first. Advise honestly. Then build.
